Feeding services include:

  • Clinical Feeding Evaluation- a 60 minute evaluation performed from the comfort of your home, that includes:

    • Medical, social and feeding history review

    • Oral sensory-motor assessment

    • Feeding/mealtime observation

    • Clinical observations for safety of swallowing

    • Comprehensive recommendations related to a customized feeding plan, diet suggestions, external modifications to feeding, strategies to advance current diet, and ongoing treatment plan of care.

  • Virtual Feeding Consult- a 45 minute virtual visit that includes:

    • Discussion of your current feeding concerns

    • Review of the developmental feeding progression

    • Discussion of strategies and external modifications that can be made to improve minor feeding challenges

    • A full clinical feeding evaluation may be recommended based on observations to obtain a more in-depth assessment of your child’s oral skills.

  • Feeding Therapy- Feeding therapy services may be recommended after your child’s initial clinical feeding evaluation. These sessions will be 60 minutes long and may be schedule weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or on a follow-up basis. Each session will address the feeding goals established between the therapist and the patient/family during the initial evaluation. All goals are patient/parent/family driven and highlight the importance of positive food interactions, skill progression, and safety of feedings.

The most important tool for your child’s success, is YOU! Your presence and commitment to your child’s therapy is paramount for their carryover and success with feeding recommendations.
